HUBC at the NOAA EPP/MSI Biennial Education & Science Forum

HUBC participated in the 11th Biennial NOAA Educational Partnership Program (EPP) with Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) Education and Science Forum was held in March 4-6, 2025, in-person on the campus of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) in Princess Anne, Maryland. The theme of the conference was Educate, Innovate, Sustain: Enhancing America’s Global Competitiveness by Preparing a Future Workforce for Ocean, Coastal, and Atmospheric Challenges. HUBC falls under the NOAA Center for Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology (NCAS-M), one of the MSI, and several of our students and personnel were present for this forum, not to mention the many others under the NCAS-M umbrella. Niel Crosby, David Bernard, Nakul Karle, and Adrian Flores are just a few that presented their research. Leaders from our program were also present like Sen Chiao, Ricardo Sakai, and Belay Demoz. Students and professionals took advantage of this conference to showcase their work and to network for future collaboration.
