On January 29, 2025, HUBC had a surprise visitor, professor Dr. Siwei Li (right in the photo) from the Wuhan University. He is a former Post-Doc and adjunct professor of Howard University from 2012 to 2018. His current research is improving radiative transfer models for atmospheric correction; developing remote sensing algorithms using passive and active observations for retrieval of particulate matter; investigating temporal and spatial variation of aerosol and quantifying natural and anthropogenic impacts on aerosol emission; and investigating aerosol indirect effects on clouds and then the impacts on climate. Dr. Li also took the time to discuss research and opportunities with HUBC’s Post-Docs Dr. Nakul Karle (left in the picture) and Dr. Zhifeng Yang (center in the picture).
