Margarita Mora Presenting at the NOAA Science Seminar Series

On March 6, 2026, Margarita Mora from Howard University presented at the NOAA Science Seminar Series, a NOAA initiative to integrate and distribute a list of NOAA-hosted, publicly accessible science seminars. Margarita presented her research work done last summer over the Environmental Modeling Center with NOAA mentors Dr. Kai Wang, Dr. Ho-Chun Huang, and Dr. Fanglin Yang. The title of her project is An Evaluation of NOAA’s AQMv.7 and AQMv.8 Vertical Ozone Profiles Across the Continental United States. This project assist in the verification of AQM.v7 and AQM.v8, with a specific focus on its vertical ozone modeling capabilities. Margarita Mora is supported in the NOAA Center for Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology II (NCAS-M II) as a Cohort 3 Graduate Fellow beneficiary of an EPP Cooperative Science Center award. Margarita is earning a PhD in the Howard University Program in Atmospheric Science (HUPAS). HUBC congratulates Margarita on presenting her research work to the scientific community.
