On February 24, 2026, the NASA Micro-Pulse Lidar Network (MPLNET) held a meeting at the Howard University Beltsville Campus (HUBC) with their partners from Taiwan to talk about calibrations and data for this year. The meeting touch base on some of the MPLNET instrument operation and data processing procedures. For example, instrument calibrations like wide-field receiver and overlap correction. In depth analysis of Planetary Boundary Layer (PBL) height retrieval and validation of the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Earth Cloud, Aerosol, and Radiation Explorer (EarthCARE). One thing to remember, HUBC use to be a MPLNET site years ago and it might be reactivated again in the near future. The meeting was organized by Jasper R. Lewis from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and attended by Sebastian A. Stewart and Ian S. Adams from NASA’s Earth Science Division and Amy Chen and Mia Wang from Taiwan.
