radiosondes

Vaisala’s RS92 and RS41 radiosondes provide upper air weather measurement data including temperature, humidity, pressure, and wind speed and direction.

The ozone sounding setup comprises an ozone sensor connected through an ozone interface to a Vaisala Radiosonde. With a Vaisala Ozone Interface card, an ECC-type ozone sensor, and a radiosonde measures pressure, temperature, humidity, and geopotential height, as well as the vertical distribution of atmospheric ozone. Winds are measured using GPS navigation signals.

HUBC has RAOBS data from 2004 up to present time targeting weather satellites from NOAA, NASA, and other agencies. Ranging from RS92 and RS92+ECC to RS41 and RS41+ECC day and night launches, with more frequent launches during the summer season for air quality studies.
