UMBC Students at HUBC

On March 26, 2025, students from the University of Maryland Baltimore County visited the Howard University Beltsville Campus (HUBC). Dr. Charles Ichoku’s class had the opportunity to tour our facilities guided by our senior scientist Dr. Ricardo Sakai. The students got to see the radiosonde and electronics labs and then the micrometeorological tower. They also got the chance to see up close the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) super site with all their instruments recording the air quality. The students learned how HUBC and MDE collaborating together produce high quality data of the atmosphere.
